Crypto may not be AI's native currency.
Markets keep reaching for crypto as default agent money. That assumption needs more pressure.
Crypto gives agents a clean settlement layer, but settlement is only one part of money. Pricing, credit, compliance, and refund logic still decide whether a payment system becomes useful.
AI-native money may look less like a coin and more like programmable account abstraction across existing rails. Wallets matter, but coordination matters more.
The real question is who owns transaction context. If agents can compare offers, negotiate terms, verify delivery, and route payments, currency becomes infrastructure behind the interface.
